When I first came to live with her, she was always tidal bore to father conversation with me to the highest degree the simplest things. I was young, scared, lost and fearful of what things would be like with her. I still wonder instantly if she knew that I had my mind elsewhere, as she would talk and I would nod in all the right places, barely listening. She was persistent and resolute. I have since found tha t when she found nighone she liked, she was relentless until she could solidify the friendship. I decided then, rather than to ignore her to actually appreciated her persistence. I believe that this persistence and ceaselessness is what helped her battle the disease. I cannot account taking these serious subjects and smiling and joking about them in the manner that she was able to, but she nearhow always did.
